Scallywags Day Nursery opened in September 1992. Initially as a small mixed age nursery for 24 children. In November 1994 a large extension to the building was built, allowing the children to be separated into age groups.
Then in April 2000 another extension was added enabling the children to enjoy activities appropriate to their age and level of development, the nursery was divided into three units, jelly babies (baby/toddler) 0-2years, jelly tots 2-4 years and smarties which is a Holiday Club for ages 4 to 11 years old and is now registered for 69 children, including 12 babies.
In February 1998 we were fully registered to provide education for three and four year olds by OHMCI following an excellent inspection, in 2000 we also registered as a nursery school with the local authority.
